Coalition Ambassadors Selected for 2025-26

June 30, 2025

Eighteen enrollment professionals from public and private institutions across the country have been selected as Coalition Ambassadors for 2025-26. This year-long professional development program empowers rising leaders at Coalition member schools to contribute to nationally coordinated and regionally impactful college access initiatives.

Ambassadors provide a leading voice in the Coalition’s work to democratize access to trusted information about the college-going process. They work together to develop programs and materials that help students learn about, prepare for and apply to college.

“I can personally identify with how challenging it can be to navigate higher education,” says Raena Beetham, director of admissions marketing and events for Eastern Connecticut State University. “It can be difficult to know where to go for trusted information. That’s why resources such as the Coalition are more essential than ever – vetted, valuable guidance provided at no cost to students.”

In addition to supporting direct student outreach, Ambassadors also connect with leaders in the college access and enrollment management fields. The professional development component of the program is designed to provide professionals who are committed to access and inclusion with opportunities for networking and professional growth.

“Our Ambassador program is such a critical component of the Coalition’s work,” says Liz Cheron, Coalition CEO. “It’s exciting to bring together talented admissions professionals to contribute to our mission of supporting students today, and also provide these rising leaders with opportunities to gain skills and connections that help them build long and impactful careers that continue to transform access to higher education.”

The cohort model allows Ambassadors the opportunity to learn from and share with each other, across a diversity of member institutions.

Reflecting on her year in the program, Alejandra McFern, associate director of admissions at the University of Delaware and a member of the 2024-25 Ambassador cohort says, “It’s truly inspiring to be a part of a group of individuals who are like-minded in the spirit of education, but who vary in age, professional titles, demographics, and whose collaborative knowledge spans decades in higher education. It’s through this diversity and collective expertise that we were able to learn from one another, and most importantly, grow in our professional roles."

The new cohort begins the program August 1.
